Overview of all tools available through the Google Ads MCP server.

Google Ads Tools

The Google Ads MCP server exposes 6 read-only tools — identity, account/campaign/ad-group/ad discovery, and performance insights. All tools authenticate via your Madgicx OAuth token and run against the Google Ads accounts linked to your active team.

Read-only server

No mutations are performed on Google Ads accounts. For starting/pausing campaigns, budget changes, or naming automation, use the Facebook Ads MCP (only Facebook is supported for write operations today).

Performance metrics at customer / campaign / ad group / ad level with optional segment breakdowns

How Tools Work

Tool Selection

The AI identifies which tool can answer your question

Permission Check

The MCP server verifies your team has the required mcp_full permission

Token Injection

The team's Google Ads refresh token is injected into the request — your OAuth token is never sent to Google directly

Response

Results are returned to the AI, which formats them for you
